Meet Chuck! (I’m on the right)
You wanna talk about humble beginnings, I grew up around cattle and farm animals. Wine wasn't exactly an industry I thought I'd find myself in. We were much more of a beer and BBQ family! But when you stumble into an industry like this, it's hard to NOT fall in love.
After moving away for college, I started discovering how much I loved the hospitality industry. When I turned 21, I bought a bottle of riesling and it opened my eyes to the beauty of wine. After working in the wine department at a local grocery store, I decided I wanted to pursue this for real! I uprooted my entire life and moved clear across the country to work in Oregon Wine Country, in the Willamette Valley.
In 2019, I decided to take my Certified Sommelier exam and take my career to the next level. I had a great career at a vineyard in the Dundee Hills but Florida was calling me home. So now I am bringing some true wine country flair to Southwest Florida!
Wine to me is much more than just a beverage. It's a fun beverage that brings people together. It's family history. It's stories. It's art. It's something that is meant to be enjoyed. I aim to make wine enjoyable for anyone by making it easy and enjoyable to understand. I'll share my stories and leave you wanting to learn more! Wine shouldn't one taken too seriously, so let's just have fun with it. We might not all be millionaires, but we call can still drink like one!
